Hotel O Colmo

Normal size of bedroom,were given only two towels but after telling this to reception it was very quickly fixed. Received even two more than ussual. Lovelly space for swimming,gyming and jakuzing :-) decent size of pool! nice and relaxing as there were no so many people around. Sometimes I've got the whole place to myself :-) helpful staff and very handy to have amazing restaurant at the other side of the building. Breakfast was tasty and fresh just not all the times topped up on time. Had to wait for bacon for 20 min.

Put 10 out of 10 because of price vs quality. The hotel is old, but very clean. You even have a special shower to wash your tracking shoes before the entrance. Good restaurants nearby because it is located in the center of Santana. Was in love with the ability of geraniums as they are especially beautiful in Santana region (they normally grow up to a height of 500 meters from the ocean).

This property has been developed over many decades, so it rambles and is full of quirky Knick knacks , unexpected staircases. There is loads of room to spread out and relax,. The rooms are large and airy, the beds and linens comfortable. We were given one with a large private balcony with a view of hills …just beautiful. The bar is the oldest area, followed by the restaurant. Locals use this place for family events, so the feeling is very authentic, like you are hanging out with the locals. The prices for food ,drink, and stay are great value for the money. Their restaurant is ambitious, trying to provide a wide range of eating habits…..overall 7/10. The location is right in the centre of Santana, just steps to tourist attractions.

For the price, the hotel was great. The room was quite spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and I slept well. The restaurant was decent, and conveniently attached to the hotel. The brunch was pretty nice.

This is a great hotel - a nice bright spacious room, balcony, decent sized-bathroom. free car park to the rear of the hotel, attached restaurant/bar and just one minute from touristic Santana and well placed for short drive to local attractions (Pico Areiro/Pico Ruivo)- it even has an indoor pool! The included breakfast was generous and had a really wide choice, and the staff were all excellent.
